The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has handed over 1.12 acres of prime land in Adum, Kumasi to the Ghana School of Law for the construction of an ultramodern campus.

The facility, once completed, is expected to decentralise legal education in Ghana, increase access to professional legal training, and raise the standard of legal practice across the country.
At a ceremony held on Monday, July 28, His Lordship Justice Nana Barima Yaw Kodie Oppong, Justice of the Court of Appeal and Director of Legal Education, expressed profound gratitude to the Asantehene for his unwavering support.
“Once again, the King of Ashanti has demonstrated selflessness, commitment to education and infrastructure by graciously handing over to us approximately 1.12 acres of prime land in the heart of Kumasi for the construction of an ultramodern facility to serve as the Kumasi campus of the Ghana School of Law,” he said.

Acting Chief Justice Justice Baffoe-Bonnie also urged all stakeholders to support the project’s swift completion.
He emphasised that the new campus would not only serve as an academic facility but also reflect a broader national commitment to justice.
“This campus will not be just a building of bricks and mortar; it represents our collective aspiration for a Ghana governed by the rule of law,” he said, stressing that the institution would nurture future legal minds grounded in integrity and leadership.
