President-elect John Dramani Mahama has officially endorsed The Right Honourable Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin for Speaker of the 9th Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
In a statement issued on Sunday, January 5, by his Special Aide, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Mahama directed the NDC’s Parliamentary Leadership to nominate Bagbin, citing his distinguished parliamentary career.
Bagbin, who has served as a Member of Parliament for Nadwoli, Minority and Majority Leader, and Speaker of the 8th Parliament, is recognized for his extensive experience and contributions to Ghana’s legislative progress.
The President-elect emphasized that Bagbin’s leadership would fortify Parliament’s role in enhancing democracy and legislative oversight.
