The Blue Skies Foundation has broken grounds for the commencement for the construction of a state-of-the-art training centre for mango farmers in Sunyani.
The groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant milestone in the foundation’s efforts to support smallholder farmers in the mango industry.
According to Alistair Djimatey, Head of Foundation and Corporate Affairs at Blue Skies, “This project is one of eight initiatives the Foundation is implementing this year. By investing in the training and development of mango farmers, we are building a sustainable future for the agricultural sector and contributing to the economic growth and well-being of local communities in Sunyani.”
The training centre aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of local farmers, improving their productivity and livelihoods.
The project is part of the Blue Skies Foundation’s commitment to supporting community development and sustainable agriculture practices.
The Blue Skies Foundation has completed over 180 community projects in Ghana and other countries, including the construction of schools, clinics, and resource centres. The Foundation’s work is made possible through partnerships with retailers such as Waitrose and Albert Heijn.
