A yet-to-be-identified lifeless body was discovered today at the Circle Roundabout in Accra, sparking concern and curiosity among residents and traders in the area.
According to some local vendors, the deceased man was dropped off at the location by a taxi weeks ago, bearing visible bruises and injuries that made it impossible for him to even wear a shirt.
They believe he may have been the victim of a hit-and-run incident in Kasoa before being abandoned at the roundabout.
Since his arrival, the man had reportedly been cared for by some of the street boys, commonly referred to as “jonkeys,” who sleep around the area.
Witnesses recounted that one of these boys routinely collected porridge from a nearby vendor to feed him. Sadly, he was found dead this morning by the same street boy who had been helping him.
Officials from the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly have since wrapped the body in plastic as they await the arrival of an ambulance to transport it to the mortuary.
With no known relatives stepping forward, the identity of the deceased and the full story behind his tragic end remain unclear.
