The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 18 new cases of Mpox, raising the country’s total recorded infections to 346.
The Service indicated that the death toll remains at one, with no new fatalities and no current hospital admissions reported.
In its latest update on August 7, 2025, the GHS urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid close contact with individuals exhibiting symptoms of the disease. It also encouraged the prompt reporting of any suspected cases to the nearest health facility to aid in early detection and containment.
The Service noted that it is collaborating with its regional directorates to trace contacts and strengthen the national response to the outbreak. Health officials have reiterated the importance of community cooperation in reducing the spread of the disease.
