A 19-year-old woman, Emmanuella Asante, has been remanded into police custody in connection with the death of her 33-year-old boyfriend, Enoch Abrokwa, who allegedly sustained a fatal stab wound during a confrontation at Ofankor Barrier in Accra.
The Accra Regional Police Command said in a statement issued on Wednesday, October 21, that the incident occurred on Friday, October 9, following a disagreement between the couple at Mr Abrokwa’s business premises.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the argument escalated, resulting in Ms Asante allegedly stabbing Mr Abrokwa in the chest with a piece of broken glass.
The victim was first taken to a hospital at Taifa-Burkina before being transferred to Ridge Hospital for further treatment.
He underwent surgery for a deep wound that affected his intestines but died on October 14 while receiving medical care.
According to the police, the suspect was arrested on October 10 after the complainant and three other individuals brought her to the police station. She reportedly admitted to stabbing Mr Abrokwa and has remained in police custody as investigations continue.
Ms Asante has since been arraigned before the court and remanded into police custody. She is expected to reappear on November 3.
The Accra Regional Police Command has urged the public to resolve disputes peacefully and avoid violence, while appealing for cooperation with investigators as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
