President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has inaugurated a 320-bedroom apartment complex for Ghana Police Service personnel in Tesano, Accra.
During the event on Tuesday, he assured that the government’s housing policy will executed in its entirety.
This development comes on the back of governments effort to resolving the housing shortage faced by the nation’s security agencies.
“This milestone is not just a testament to our determination to improve the living standards of our security personnel, but also a key step forward in our national quest for enhanced security and safety,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
He added that the facility demonstrates “our resolve to ensure that those who risk their lives daily to protect us have a safe and comfortable place to call home.”
The stressed on the importance of providing further assistance to the Ghana Police Service, emphasizing the government’s commitment to supporting the needs of the nation’s protectors.
Present during the event was the Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and the Minister of Interior Henry Quatey.
