The Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) has announced the scheduled shutdown of its Processing Plant and Offshore Gas Export Facilities starting Thursday, August 1.
This maintenance operation, which is set to conclude on Saturday, August 17, is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance the operational efficiency of its facilities and ensure a reliable and uninterrupted gas supply.
During this period, Ghana Gas will continue to deliver Lean Gas from the Sankofa-OCTP field to the Takoradi Distribution Stations.
In a statement released on Wednesday, July 31, the company emphasized that the availability of Lean Gas would help mitigate any potential disruptions in gas supply, ensuring that the impact on customers is minimized.
Ghana Gas has also issued an apology for any inconvenience the maintenance exercise may cause, reassuring the public of its commitment to maintaining an effective power supply throughout the duration of the shutdown.
The company emphasized the importance of this maintenance work in sustaining the long-term reliability and efficiency of its gas processing operations.
