The leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has made a damning accusation against former Vice President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama.
In a shocking claim, she alleged that Mahama was responsible for the death of former President John Atta Mills.
“I know him (John Mahama), and he killed Atta Mills,” Donkor boldly declared, sparking intense public interest in the ongoing political drama.
In addition to her accusation, Donkor has threatened legal action against Mahama over remarks he made about the Electoral Commission (EC) allowing “unserious” parties on the ballot.
She expressed frustration at the NDC leader’s comments, asserting that despite her limited academic background, her party has met all lawful requirements to contest.
“I am also a citizen, and I deserve to be on the ballot paper,” she insisted during an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting.
Mahama, addressing a durbar in Sissala East on October 13, had expressed frustration over the disqualification of some candidates, including PNC’s Bernard Mornah, by the Electoral Commission (EC).
He argued that Mornah, unlike certain other candidates on the ballot, was more qualified to contest, suggesting that the EC’s process might have been discriminatory.
