Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Works and Housing, has reiterated his belief that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the best candidate to lead Ghana, particularly for the youth.
In a strong endorsement of Bawumia, Oppong Nkrumah highlighted that the Vice President’s policies, including the protection and expansion of the Free Senior High School (SHS) programme, make him the better choice over former President John Dramani Mahama.
“We need leadership that believes and invests in the youth of Ghana. Bawumia is the best choice for Ghana’s youth, not Mahama,” Oppong Nkrumah said in a video shared on his X page.
Oppong Nkrumah also accused Mahama of lacking belief in the Free SHS programme, claiming that a return of his leadership would see the initiative collapse.
In contrast, he emphasized that Bawumia is committed to improving healthcare and completing the Agenda 111 project across the country.
He also stressed Bawumia’s ability to protect the public purse, a contrast to Mahama’s record, stating, “The NPP has protected the public purse better than the NDC did, and Bawumia will do it even better.”
In comparing the two candidates, Oppong Nkrumah asserted that Bawumia’s economic expansion plan is far superior to Mahama’s proposed 24-hour economy, adding that Bawumia has the integrity that Mahama lacks.
“Bawumia will expand the growth trajectory of Ghana’s economy,” he concluded, positioning the Vice President as the leader capable of addressing key challenges, including the high cost of living.
