The Member of Parliament for Salaga South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, joined family, traditional leaders, government officials and members of the Muslim Ummah for the 7th Day Adua of the late Kulibuwura Osman Yakubu Keli IV at his residence in Makango.
The solemn gathering brought together dignitaries to mourn and celebrate the life of the distinguished traditional leader, who was described as a father figure deeply committed to the development and wellbeing of his people.
In a statement after the prayers, Hon. Hajia Zuwera said she held the late Kulibuwura in very high esteem.
“He would fondly recount the memories he shared with my late father whenever I visited him at the palace. Over time, I came to see him not only as a traditional leader, but also as a father, mentor and trusted advisor. His wisdom, warmth and genuine concern for his people will be greatly missed,” she said.
The MP was joined by the Hon. Regional Minister, government appointees, party executives and members of the Muslim Ummah to pray for Allah to forgive the late chief’s shortcomings and grant his soul Jannatul Firdaus.
On behalf of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Hajia Zuwera extended her deepest condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Makango, and the entire Kpembe Traditional Area.
“May Allah grant him eternal rest and give his family, loved ones and the people he served the strength and comfort to bear this difficult loss. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” she added.
