Joseph Aidoo has joined Real Valladolid on loan from Celta Vigo until the end of the 2024/25 La Liga season.
Aidoo, 28, gets a chance to return to regular action after a challenging season at Celta Vigo, where he was sidelined by injury for months and managed only a one-minute appearance upon his return.
Real Valladolid, currently fighting relegation, will look to Aidoo’s experience and defensive strength as they aim to secure their La Liga status.
Aidoo began his European career in 2015 with Swedish side Hammarby, later moving to Belgian club KRC Genk in 2017. His standout performances in Belgium led to his transfer to Celta Vigo in 2019, where he became a key figure in defense.
With 131 LaLiga appearances and three goals, Aidoo has proven himself as a solid and reliable centre-back, known for his aerial dominance and tactical awareness.
As Real Valladolid look to bolster their defense, Aidoo’s leadership, experience, and physical presence could be instrumental in their fight to avoid the drop.
The Ghanaian will be determined to reignite his career and make an immediate impact for his new club.
