President John Dramani Mahama has conferred one of Ghana’s highest state honours—the Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana—on visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The ceremony, held in Accra, celebrated the longstanding diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries, marking a significant milestone in Ghana-India cooperation.
In his acceptance remarks, Prime Minister Modi expressed deep appreciation for the honour, describing it as a symbol of shared values and mutual respect.
“This honour comes with a responsibility to deepen ties between India and Ghana,” he stated, reaffirming India’s commitment to stand with the people of Ghana and further strengthen the friendship between both nations.
