The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to continue its thorough examination of potential presidential candidates today, as they strive to secure the party’s leadership position for the upcoming 2024 polls.
Among the individuals slated for today’s vetting proceedings are Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the respected Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, former Energy Minister, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former NPP General Secretary.
The vetting process commenced yesterday, July 3, 2023, where prominent figures such as the current vice president, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former Minister of Trade, and businessman Kwadwo Poku took turns to appear before the vetting panel. These individuals faced an intensive evaluation process to assess their suitability for the flagbearership position.
Others to be vetted tomorrow include Joe Ghartey, a former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a former Agric Minister, and Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former MP for Offinso North.
