Former fetish priestess-turned-evangelist, Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has said she has no regrets about serving time in prison, describing the experience as spiritually rewarding.
Addressing her congregation on Sunday, March 22, shortly after her release from custody, the former fetish priestess-turned-preacher indicated that her time in prison strengthened her relationship with God and transformed her outlook on life.
“I was sent to prison, but today I say in praise of God’s name that I will never regret going to prison. I will never regret it because what God has given me through this journey is big and cannot be bought with money,” she said.
She added, “God has given me the authority and the power in his word to minister to the people of the world that he is the King of kings and in his absence there is no other God but him, and his Kingdom will rule us forever, and nobody can stop us from worshipping him.”
According to Agradaa, the period of incarceration served as a turning point, urging Ghanaians to appreciate and respect the works of God.
The evangelist was originally sentenced on July 3, 2025, after being found guilty of defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertisement. However, her lawyers successfully challenged the ruling, leading to a reduction of her sentence by the Amasaman High Court, which described the initial punishment as excessive.
The revised sentence of 12 calendar months paved the way for her release after serving two-thirds of the term, in line with Ghana’s remission policies.
