The Ghana Police Service has arrested six individuals for allegedly impersonating security personnel and intimidating foreign workers at a manufacturing company in Agona Swedru in the Central Region.
According to the police, the suspects were apprehended following a distress call received by the Agona Swedru District Police Command on Tuesday, May 6, 2026.

The report indicated that six men travelling in a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GW 8887-V had entered the premises of S.I Jun Manufacturing Company Limited at Agona Akwakwa near Mankrong Nkwanta and were allegedly harassing some Chinese nationals at the facility.
Police investigations revealed that the suspects were dressed in different forms of security apparel. Three of them reportedly wore camouflage uniforms associated with the Ghana Immigration Service, while another was dressed in military-style attire. The remaining two suspects were in civilian clothing.
The group allegedly introduced themselves as National Security operatives and were accused of intimidating workers at the company.
A police team dispatched to the scene found the vehicle parked within the company’s premises. Three Chinese nationals — identified as Man Guan, Chin Min and MA Kaixiang — were reportedly found in handcuffs at the time officers arrived.
The suspects were immediately arrested and identified as Agyemang Benjamin, 32; Mahama Iddrisu Dawuda Seidu, 48; Ofori Isaac, 35; Adom Bills, 32; Hayford Boafo, 47; and Ato Mchenry, 48.
The police further disclosed that the Military Police, Ghana Immigration Service and National Security Secretariat have been contacted to verify whether the suspects have any legitimate affiliation with the security agencies whose identities they allegedly claimed.
They are currently being held at the Agona Swedru District Police Headquarters, where they are assisting investigators with ongoing enquiries into the incident.
