Previously, the GPRTU had postponed fare review discussions, awaiting engagement with an officially appointed transport minister.
Now that Nikpe is in office, the long-awaited negotiations are expected to pave the way for possible fare restructuring.
During a recent media engagement, the minister expressed optimism about reaching a favourable resolution.
