Member of the New Patriotic Party’s Communications Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, says he is “more ready than ever” after his four-day detention by EOCO, maintaining that efforts to intimidate or break his spirit have failed.
In a strongly worded statement issued after his release, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator struck a defiant tone, insisting that the experience had left him more determined than ever.
“I am out. I am unbroken. And I am more ready than ever,” he declared.
Mr. Aboagye, who recently announced his intention to contest for the position of National Communications Director of the NPP, said neither his detention nor the events surrounding it would deter him from pursuing his political ambitions.
“Let me be clear: if the intention was to break me, it has failed. If the intention was to scare me, it has failed spectacularly,” he said.
He further vowed to lead the party’s Communications Directorate with renewed determination.
“I will lead the New Patriotic Party’s Communications Directorate to command the narrative, and no cell, no false story, no intimidation will change that,” he stated.
Describing the public support he received during his detention as overwhelming, Mr. Aboagye thanked party supporters who protested and campaigned for his release, saying their encouragement kept his morale high.
According to him, the backing he received has transformed what began as a personal challenge into a collective cause.
“This journey is no longer mine alone. It is ours. We move. Stronger. Louder. Together,” he said.
He also thanked his legal team and the leadership of the NPP for standing by him throughout the period of his detention, adding that the ordeal had only added “fuel to the fire” of his commitment to the party and its communication agenda.
