The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Western North Region has expressed concern over what it describes as the abandonment of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) project at Sefwi Boako in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality.
According to the party, the project, which was initiated to enhance technical skills development and create employment opportunities for the youth, has been left unattended, raising questions about the commitment to advancing vocational education in the region.

Addressing journalists,in a press conference the regional executives of the party accused the current administration of failing to continue and complete key developmental projects started under the previous government.

They argued that the Sefwi Boako TVET facility was envisioned as a major centre for skills training aimed at equipping young people with employable and entrepreneurial skills, particularly in technical and vocational disciplines.
The NPP noted that the continued neglect of the project risks denying thousands of young people in the Western North Region access to quality technical education and practical training opportunities.

The party is therefore calling on government and the relevant authorities to urgently intervene and ensure the completion of the project to serve its intended purpose.
Residents and stakeholders in the area are calling on government for the completion of the facility, which many believe could contribute significantly to youth empowerment and local economic development.
The Sefwi Boako TVET project forms part of broader efforts aimed at strengthening technical and vocational education infrastructure across the country.
