Frank Davies, legal counsel for Ken Ofori-Atta, has thrown down the gauntlet to the Special Prosecutor, challenging him to proceed with legal action and end what he describes as media theatrics and political posturing.
Speaking in reaction to the OSP’s extradition moves and public declarations, Davies stated emphatically: “He should go ahead and do what he will do. We are all lawyers. So he should bring it on.”
In an exclusive interview with ABC News GH, on Tuesday, June 3, Davies urged the Special Prosecutor to “start his prosecution and stop wasting public resources and make his office worthwhile. He should stick to his core mandate.”
When asked whether the legal team would be taking the matter further in court, Davies declined to reveal specific strategies but made it clear that their response would not be played out in the media.
“I don’t do my cases in the media. We do what has to be done,” he said. His comments add fuel to the escalating political and legal standoff, as the OSP moves forward with its corruption investigations into the former minister and broader financial irregularities involving key state institutions.
